So, I guess two big things are happening soon. Well, not soon. But happening. Eventually. Sooner rather than later. Anyway.

1. The exchange trip
2. Graduation (?)

<s>That means I've got to find somewhere to go, after I grad, since I won't be going 'home'.</s> Maybe I'll move to Australia and <s>beg</s> convince Patricia Piccinini to take me on as an apprentice. She just had a show in New York City...when we're in America, she'll be back in Australia. :/

<s>Now I'll have to learn good English.</s> I'm going to write her letters, maybe. I <s>think</s> can manage that.

Australian art apprenticeship aside, <s>maybe they'll let me teach proper tumbling and acrobatics here</s> I'd better check Tokyo first.

Moving back to the dorms, now they're finished (?). I want something on the top floor. <s>Else I'm scaling the building for after-hours roof access.</s>

And, it's almost popcicle season. ♥

Guess I'd better get better at that English thing if I wanna understand anything on that exchange trip.

I'm gonna get a job. Better start asking around the gyms nearby.

Shinji, you're frustrating. >/

---

[It's stupid, how long I can go and what I can do in
training, when I'm around the kid.
So, uh. I went to temple on New Year's with my brother. Mighty awkward, but he seems okay, I guess. Yeah. <s>Dunno where I'm going with this.</s>

<s>I needa distraction.</s>

I think maybe I'm becoming a hermit out here. Only ones comin' around to the greenhouse is Sakuno-chan and some random young ones. <s>I think one of them thought my hair was a flower until I MOVED. Ahahahaha. >D</s> Anyway. Kinda miss my balcony/roof room, but at least it's warm in here.

Other then that, things as usual. Classes and shit. Yay. >/

Oils for the new year, I think.

Mistletoe = not allowed over classroom doors. >/ Uncool.

So, this marks my third Christmas away from family. I'm pretty much used to it by now. But, <s>uh</s> apparently my brief stint on the TV at that stupid rally make someone notice me. Guess I'm kinda distinctive or something. HA.

So, I've got a little brother who wants to see me sometime between now and New Years, if not on New Years. What the hell do I say to someone whom I <s>abandoned</s> haven't seen in three years and know nothing about <s>anymore</s>?

<s>Someone buy me an ice cream.</s> I'm gonna go into the city, later this week. <s>Be nostalgic and shit.</s> Do some streetdancing <s>gotta get the kid brother something, I guess.</s> or visit the museum, if it's open. I dunno. Something. <s>All that's left around here, right now, is angst and cookies.</s>

And Sengoku's kidlets owe me a 6B. >/ I hope they didn't try to plant it.

Happy Christmas, everybody.

the ongoing Adventures of Gakkun~

Today I'm gonna tell you about Gakuto and the Beanstalk.

Once upon a time, there was a gymnast called Gakkun. He was one of many gymnasts who went to the gym of the land. One fine day he decided to go to the gym. However, the dusty rocky road in which to get there was blocked, littered with the unassembled remains of a trampoline. A white terror had been racing through the land, but he had never seen such a sight before.

But Gakkun was not afraid of silver-white terrors! He tried to JUMP over the blockade! But it didn't work. He tried to FLIP over the blockade. But that didn't work either. He tried to LEAP over the blockade, but that, too, did not work.

There was another path to the gym, but it was not often travelled by gymnasts. Gakkun steeled his courage and ventured into the place where the greenery grew towards the sun.

The path became concealed and padded by leaves; some that came from bushes and plants, others that had fallen from the tall trees that grew along and, in some cases, on the road. The bushes and plants became increasingly dense, crowding Gakkun as he moved farther down the path. He started tripping over branches and raised roots in the soil, and began to use the foiliage to steady himself.

Something moved across the ground.

Gakkun pretended it wasn't there and kept moving forward. The road behind him was closing up, the wall of leaves and blossoms sealing it shut. He started moving faster, LEAPING over obstacles, JUMPING across leafy patches, and ROLLING under places where he could not go over.

The gymnast came to the end of the road. There was no way forward. No way back. The sky and sun was slowly being taken away as the flora and the fauna gathered around him, folding him inside a very green coccon.

He sat there very quietly, crouched down with his arms around his legs. He thought that he was going to die, you know, all nestled away from the road and the world.

The ground began to rumble. The leaves and petals pressed around him tighter, slipping in his shirt and tangling in his hair. Vines poked through the walls of his chamber, winding around his arms and legs, and pulling him out of his confinement!

Gakkun was PULLED BACKWARDS. He TUMBLED THROUGH THE AIR, ROLLING and TWISTING and ARCING TOWARDS THE SKY. The vines took him higher and higher, until finally, PAH! He was lifted free by the vines, and suspended in the air!

Gakkun could see the entire land! Below him was the gym, not too far from where he had been stopped.

'OY' he cried, WRIGGLING about in the vines' hold. 'LEMME DOWN.'

'Maaaaybe~' A voice said. Gakuto looked up. An orange-haired boy stood on top of the biggest beanstalk he had ever seen. 'What are you doing here? Who are you?'

'I am GAKKUN' Gakkun said, 'I am a GYMNAST.' He did a finishing stance to the best of his ability and looked at the boy. 'I am on my way to the gym!'

'ARE YOU.'

'YES.'

And the orange-haired boy nodded and waved a hand at the vines. 'Okay~'

And Gakkun fell! He TUMBLED through the air, ROLLING from one side to the other, doing FLIPS as he headed straaaaaaaight for the ground!

The trees moved aside, the vines withdrew to the briars, the petals and leaves scattered away, and there on the ground, a circular instrument of metal and mesh appeared! Gakkun laughed and THREW OUT HIS ARMS, glad to see that the trampoline had been returned home! With one BOUNCE and another BOUNCE, Gakkun landed safely, and was carried to the gym!

And so ends the tale of Gakkun and the Beanstalk.

[ooc: Um. Repeated the story to vines around campus, so if you want to have seen/heard this, go for it. Did it in the dorm room, too, by the way.]

hmph

All right. Things are getting out of hand, and we all need to take a moment and calm down. Seriously. And don't give me any lip, cause you know you're gonna get it back, so stop freaking out all stupid-like and take a breath.

You've all read/heard/watched the recent release of certain future-events. Yeah, I know. It's fucking scary. I've been telling you that this place is somewhere you can come to when you're in trouble, or when you need help, and suddenly it's being proclaimed as a ground zero for a massive explosion.

Yeah, well, some of you claim I'm a mutant-picasso and I'd better not be too attached to my left ear. Big fat deal.

So what's true and what's not? <s>I don't know.</s> I don't know. Take whatever precautions necessary. Leave the country, go out of town, avoid the center like the plague, whatever. Buckle down in a bomb shelter if you want, but I know I'm working on the 15th and I ain't going no where.

If you think this is all a load of shit, and are planning on joining me, then that's fine. The Center officially says that there's nothing wrong and that the information was a hoax - that there's nothing to worry about. I, however, can't personally guarantee that you'll be safe with us on that day. I can't. I highly suggest that you don't come around on the 15th, just to be sure. If you reguluarly depend on us for a place to crash, then please PLEASE come talk to either Yukito or myself, and we'll set you up with a temporary residence. (Yukkun's staying on the 15th as well.)

It isn't the end of the world, kids. <s>I hope.</s> Either I see you on the sixteenth all shiny and new, or I don't. Meiko and Kobe-san will be around, after, anyway.

Don't be ashamed of who you are, and don't be afraid. :) Rock on.

Um, Bunta-san, would it be all right if I did some work in the art rooms? I know you usually <s>stab people for </s> have work set up and such, soooo... I'd just use a desk and a pillar for still life - I want to try some stuff out with my powers.

[Private]
This letter from Tomiyama is...weird... Doomsday and destruction - I don't like the sound of it. :/ I don't want the kids involved with it - they have enough shit to worry about in their lives... God, I mean, it's so damn sketchy! ...I need your help in finding the source of this destruction and ending it before it happens. What the hell is that supposed to mean? This sounds an awful lot like propaganda.

Badbadbad stuff. This makes me uneasy.

I'm going to go work with change control on simple objects- see if I can't get my speed to a crawl and prove to myself that I'm in complete control.

It was weird-pretty, and it had circus people, though it was focused on jugglers, not acrobats <s> :(</s>. The artsy stuff was cool - a lot of ink, and sepia tones. I like ink, but if I worked with it, a lot of stuff would be melted and streaky when I'm done with it. "Oh look, that concrete wall is melting! How odd!"

I need new charcoals again. SIGH.

So here I am, a little bit of a Flash animation junkie, and suddenly it hits me that Flash is basically what I do with pictures, 'cept I don't have to waste my time doing all that rendering and frame-by-frame crap. >D That's pretty awesome, 'cept I can't keep my drawings 'animating' forever. I don't think I'll ever be able to do that, but it'd still be pretty cool.

Okay. It's about seven years old, but I wanna watch Uzumaki. It doesn't look scary, but it's supposed to be really creepy. Creepy's still good. >9

...I really want to play some Soul Calibur.
The Adventures of Mukahi Gakuto

THE ADVENTURES OF MUKAHI GAKUTO

...cause I'd hate to deprive you of the story, Niou. >P

In the beginning, Gakkun discovered the world of gymnastics and the wonderful piece of gym equipment called the trampoline.

BUT THEN THE ONE CALLED NIOU CAME. He challenged Momo the Mighty to a duel, using the trampoline as a test subject.

Momo the Mighty did not defeat the trampoline.

Mysteriousness insued. And the trampoline found broken one day by none other than Gakkun.

WOE.

Gakkun recieved a map from NIOU and went out into the world on a quest to fix the trampoline that was so loved by many of the students.

The map was not of a spectacular nature, much to Gakkun's dismay. He set out into the campus, wondering <s>how the fuck</s> how he was supposed to locate the buried treasure when the X was so <s>bloody</s> large on the map. However, after some time, looking through the unearthed dirt, Gakkun was rewarded with a plastic bag and not-so-shiny treasure.

Oh glorious day. <s>LIKE THAT HAD ANYTHING TO DO WITH THE TRAMPOLINE.</s> This led the brave and valiant adventurer to the commons room where further instructions were posted on the PS2 console. Gakkun had to wait until one Echizen, R. was finished, before he could claim the information that the PS2 console would give him.

During this time, Gakkun pursued nutritional needs and other various tasks <s>since Ryoma refused to die quickly, dammit. ><</s>.

Once the PS2 was relenquished, Gakkun was faced with the task of finding the correct game in which to 'die quickly'. This almost instantly dictated an arcade or other top-scores game, BUT, Gakkun is most stubborn and found it!

THEN TO THE LIBRARY THE QUESTOR WENT.

Inside a copy of "Bending Spoons for Bendy Minds" (104.02 on the shelf), Gakuto found another slip of paper.

And, thus, Gakkun the valiant hero decided that this was indeed <s>a load of crap</s> where the quest ended.

Then he promptly went to re-examine the wounded trampoline, determined the maker and found an Adobe Reader User Manual on TEH INTERNET.

Gakkun will be going to get the parts and peices after classes tomorrow to fix the trampoline.

AND ALL WILL BE RIGHT WITH THE WORLD ONCE MORE. (fanfare, sparklies, confetti, etc.)

Thus ends the story of The Adventures of Mukahi Gakuto.

[ooc:I don't know Kanji, but the sticky's supposed to say 'die quickly'. >>; Also, the Morse Code reads: "Screwdriver and Spanner, swimming pool deep end / Nuts and bolts, Momo's Pillow" :D]

Mmm~ training... (Happy, Niou?)

But seriously. It's like floor routines, but FREEFORALL. And constant. And super-active. And KEEPGOING, GO FASTER, DON'T DIE. Though I doubt we'd accidently die, but it's nice to know it could happen. :D

Homework = whateva. I don't know if I'm just okay with the workload, or I'm not trying hard enough... >> Either way, it ain't bothering me, and that's fine. <strike>I like the art room. I wonder if someone will notice if I move in there permenantly....>>;;</strike>

<strike>...my window leads onto the lower of the two dorm rooftops. :D BWAHAHAHAHA~ I CAN'T WAIT FOR SUMMER. I'm seriously considering DEATHFROMABOVE. ...bwaha. I should probably find some really good hiding places though...not that it'll stop the telepaths, though. >>

</strike>[ooc<strike> </strike>strikes gone, small strikes just contained MUHAHA. >>;; He's liking the school thing a bit too much, I think...]
